Tips To Turn Your Brain Into An Idea Factory – Mastering Execution

Tips To Turn Your Brain Into An Idea Factory - Mastering Execution

Have you noticed that typically when you get one or two really good ideas, others start to make their way into your brain at the same time? Then within minutes you’ve overwhelmed yourself and you are left not knowing where to begin …!

Well, finding time and the best solution for you to navigate these ideas is going to be the tipping point for you and your business. It’s so easy for entrepreneurs to be flooded with either new business ideas, ideas for new pillars, content, services, or even tangible products, that many are just left rummaging around in your brain — spinning in circles on your hamster wheel — because you haven’t quite figured out the right way to get them out, and into action. (Yet!)

Luckily for you we’ve had some trial-and-error time with this and we’re here to help you release these exceptional ideas thoughts, and FINALLY (once and for all) put them into execution mode!

And it goes a little something like this:

TIP #1: SCHEDULE REGULAR BRAIN DUMP SESSIONS.

If you notice that you tend to be inspired when you’re getting ready to do some creative work, schedule 30 minutes beforehand to write all your ideas down on paper. Yes, on paper. Brain dump sessions are perfect to get literally every idea out of your head, regardless of whether they’re relevant to work or the task you’re about to tackle. Releasing it all onto paper will free up space in your brain to prepare to fully execute your next task, free from distractions.

(You can always push these paper notes electronic later.)

TIP #2: SCHEDULE REGULAR BRAINSTORMING SESSIONS.

Brainstorming is not to be confused with “brain dumps” (aka. tip #1).

Brainstorming sessions are a great way to explore other pillars, services, and products. We also love using brainstorming sessions for ways to discover a new content series we might want to create, or ideas for new courses! None of the ideas that come from these sessions are set in stone, but they might spark a new curiosity or a fun idea that might lead to something magical!

TIP #3: LEARN THE ART OF FOCUS WORK (OR DEEP WORK).

Taking the time to learn how to properly enter focus mode will do WONDERS for your business.

In a world full of distractions, focus work, also known as deep work, is a not-so-secret gem that will allow you to execute your work in a fraction of the time, while also producing a much higher quality of work. This is one of those masteries that many aspire to achieve, but few actually do. It requires immense self-control and dedication each and every day but is absolutely worth it.

TIP #4: NEVER STOP LEARNING.

One of the easiest ways to stop generating great ideas is to stop learning.

We are true believers in that we are never done learning and that the more we know, the more our business (and ourselves!) grow because of it. We’re continuously reading business and personal development books, learning new techniques and systems, and regularly attending webinars and workshops related to all different realms of business.

Why?

Because each and every time we spend this time focused on learning, we are keeping our mind fresh and absolutely getting new ideas for our business. And just because you may not use said piece of knowledge right this very second, it doesn’t mean you’ll never use it. So, save the information somewhere so you can look back on it later.

Change equals self-improvement. Push yourself to places you haven’t been before.

If you take away anything from this blog post, let it be this …

No matter what your niche, as an entrepreneur you’re singularly focused on productivity and problem solving. You’re a hustler who works as hard as possible and as fast as possible for as long as you can — hopefully without crashing and burning — because the outside world perceives you as a Rockstar. We live in a culture of “I don’t need help; I can do it all on my own” but in the end you’re only risking your emotional and physical well-being and progress.

What I’m trying to get at here is that every single entrepreneur struggles with personal development. While juggling the day-to-day balancing act … [ where the f*ck is the sun? Am I right?!] … There’s just not enough time. So, my plea to you is to step outside your comfort zone and start engaging yourself in meaningful self-growth practices and expanding your mind through every learning opportunity you can get your hands on — big or small.

Because life begins at the end of your comfort zone …!

Also, don’t forget to allow yourself to slow down and not work your brain out like a muscle. It’s going to stop working at its full potential if you don’t slow down a few notches — which means that you will not be able to keep up with your competition. So, by learning to push yourself to flex your brain in a bit of a different way (#mindset), you will not only encourage growth in an easeful direction, but you will also encourage new ideas to generate — and continue to generate, only making you more productive and innovative!
